About Decru-design Tableware
As a housewife, our designer came up with an idea to reuse wasted scraps of the highest quality stainless steel for tableware and serveware. The stainless steel scraps are byproducts of the manufacturing process of water gates by the Daido Kiko Corporation, run by our designer’s husband. Daido Kiko has served in the hard infrastructure sector in Japan for 60 years, building water gates across Japan. These water gates contribute to water usage as well as disaster prevention & mitigation projects in Japan.
Decru-design products were born from our designer’s desire to create beautiful yet functional serveware and table accessories from recycled materials. The goal of Decru-design is to create a product that can easily be used every day to make every table special and elegant.
OUR PRODUCTS ARE Hand Made in Japan
All of our products are made in our own factory in Japan. We create elegant and gorgeous watermark design that cannot be found in any other stainless steel products. We renew stainless steel in an organic way by slowly polishing it for three days with no use of chemicals. Our very own artisans hand shape Decru-design products by bending and curving each piece, creating a unique three-dimensional shape. This results in the steel being reborn as beautiful tableware in a sustainable way.
